Good Shepherd Episcopal School cares for God's children aged six weeks through four years.

  • What is the ages of infants you accept?

    We accept infants starting a 6 weeks.

  • Is the facility licensed by the State of Florida?

    Yes, our DCF (Department of Children and Families) License number is C20CH7355

  • Are all teachers up-to-date on training requirements?

    Yes, every staff member is required to complete at least 10 hours of training per year. All staff members have completed the state mandated training and our Lead Teachers have DCF Staff Credentials.

  • Are the staff members First Aid and CPR certified?

    All of our staff are certified in First Aid and CPR every two years.

  • Does the facility meet all staff-to-child ratios?

    We work at or below DCF staff-to-child ratio.

  • What kind of curriculum do they offer? Is it developmentally appropriate?

    The curriculum we use is Learn Everyday. All lessons plans are based on the Florida Education Standards which insures children are receiving developmentally appropriate instruction.

  • How do they keep parents informed about their child's progress and school updates? How frequently are communications sent to parents?

    Infant and toddler families received daily reports and preschool families receive weekly reports.

  • Do they provide meals and are they healthy and nutritious?

    We provide breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack at no additional cost. All meals adhere to the USDA guidelines.

  • Are you a breastfeeding friendly facility?

    Yes, we will work with you to insure you have the best breastfeeding experience possible and encourage you to come in a nurse when your schedule allows.

  • How are we notified for closures due inclement weather?

    We will notify you through email so it is important your email is kept up-to-date. 

  • Is formula provides for infants?

    Yes, we will provide any formula that is available without prescription.

  • Are we responsible for payment if our children are absent on holidays/in-service closures?

    Yes, are responsible for all the days you agreed to upon enrollment. 

  • Are reference and background checks conducted on all staff?

    Yes, a level two background check is run on all staff through FDLE and the national database as well as a local law check. References are obtained from all employers from the last five years.

  • Is the deposit refundable?

    Once you have enrolled, the money will go toward tuition and you will see a credit on your account. 

  • What is the earliest drop off my child?

    For a fee, you may drop off as early as 6:30am. Normal drop off is at 6:45am. 

  • What is the latest I can pick up my child?

    For a fee, you will be able to pick your child up at 5:45pm. Normal pick up is 5:30pm.
